Dollboy have stripped everything down to the bare essentials, removing
all the superfluous elements in their music. By superfluous they mean the verse,
the chorus, the chords and largely speaking, the beat too. What is left are layers
of divine melody that are at once both complex and effortlessly simple. Their
music is quiet but is best played at volume. It's not really ambient or chill-out
but is certainly immersive.
Dollboy have been playing live at their own nights, 'Plans For a Modern City',
at The River Bar on Tower Bridge. They are set to promote their first 6 track
mini album, which is out soon on Trickpony and is also called 'Plans For A Modern
City'.
