Fiasco is about live performance, it’s something we’re passionate about.

When we started Fiasco we set about creating the kind of event that we ourselves would really want to go to see, an event that showcased an eclectic mix of performance genres in an intimate setting and with acts that were fresh, exciting and top quality. But we also wanted the event to be one that we as performers would love to be part of, an event where the sound and production values were high, the audience responsive and the atmosphere relaxed and free from intimidation.

We think we've already come a long way towards fully realising these ideals in just the few Fiasco events thus far, and with modest resources. But the best is definitely yet to come! Fiasco is still evolving and as well as refining the events to make them even more special we're also developing the Fiasco platform in other directions such as the web, TV and new social initiatives. Eventually we'd like Fiasco to become a culture portal, where people can come to discover great new live acts and also bring and share their ideas.

Organisationally we are a collective and fund all the events ourselves. We try to recoup our costs through ticket sales but, as with most things in the arts world, the events are essentially non-profit making.
